Beautiful paint, excellent chrome & stainless, and many NOS trim pieces make this car a sparkler! The former owner spent a tremendous amount of time and money to make it the best! It’s nice & straight. This was a glass-out, trim off effort, and it shows!
The ’62 Gran Turismo Hawk was Studebaker’s top of the line car that year, and this one benefits from the 289 4 barrel and 4 speed transmission and “twin traction” (positraction)
Gorgeous interior, with correct Heat embossed pleats in the bucket seats and excellent doorpanels! Wonderful dashboard, fully instrumented including Tachometer! And there’s the 4 speed shifter too. Correct Studebaker seat belts. The attention to correctness & detail on this car is very impressive , and the Chrome ribbed headliner is a nice touch. With Owner’s guide and accessory catalog too. Ashtrays on both seats! It was the Mad Men era for certain! Oh and both bucket seats fully recline (!)
289 V-8 with 4 barrel, 225 Horsepower, the hottest thing available in ’62. Note the power steering, power brake booster, and spin on oil filter.
