About the model
Availalble between 1991 and 1996, the Toyota MR2 Turbo was a higher performance variant of the second generation W20 Toyota MR2. The Toyota MR2 Turbo was powered by Toyota's 2.0 liter 3S-GTE engine capable of 200 hp, driving power to the rear via a 5-speed manual transmission. JDM versions were marketed as the GT-S and the higher trimmed GT. In the US, this variant was mostly available with removable roof panels (T-top body style), although a small number were produced with a fixed roof (coupes).
