1960 MGA twin cam Special
This MGA twin cam is originally one of only 2,111 produced, originally coming equipped with such desirable options such as 4 wheel disc brakes, and Dunlop Centre lock wheels. However, this particular twin cam has been elevated to the level of a 'special' in the era correct parlance, benefitting from custom bodywork which eschews the traditional bumpers and MGA grille, for a far more stunning look reminiscent of the Jaguar D-type and AC cobra of its day. Having those curves Finished in a rich navy blue is complemented further by the contrasting red leather interior with matching dash and the beautiful period correct MG wood steering wheel. Having an interior as gorgeous as this as this only adds to the driving experience, however we believe the drivetrain needs little help in that department.
This is because the Twin cam motor looks and runs amazingly, and is backed by a modern T9 Close ratio 5 speed transmission with overdrive. This combination not only gives sparkling performance befitting of the twin cam's reputation, but also allows for more sedate highway cruising. Much of this can be enjoyed thanks to the diligence of one of its long time Owners, Gene Ponder, who is a storied MG marque enthusiast, and has had some of the best in the business ensure that this Twin Cam Special performs as just as good as it looks.
This MGA Comes with two tonneau covers, Convertible top with side curtains, owner manuals, tool kit and British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate indicating its original colors and production date.
