By today's standards, this Chevy 3100 5-window would have been badged a premium 'step-side' Silverado. The solid pickup received a frame-off restoration in 2021 and is stunning. It is an extremely well-built truck with very high attention to detail. A professional 2-stage Black/Silver finish was applied to the arrow straight body and new chrome/stainless is excellent. GM rally wheels with rings and period-correct center hubcaps mount 15" Coker American Classic wide-white radials and the split windshield incorporates a full sun-visor. The handsome bed is fitted with solid oak boards and oak side rails - the overall impact is impressive. The superb interior is very well thought out. A full bench seat is upholstered with black vinyl and the refinished dash houses new classic white-faced analogue gauges and an AM/FM/AUX sound system. A complete Painless wiring harness has been installed and Vintage Air provides comfort. All glass and weather stripping are new. A custom spoke wheel is mounted on a chrome tilt column and 'air-horns' have been added just for fun.

The spotless engine compartment is home to a rebuilt 4.3L Chevy Vortec V6 powerplant with fuel injection. Cooling requirements are managed by an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The 4.3 is backed by a GM 3-speed automatic overdrive transmission w/stock torque converter that provides torque to a 10-bolt GM differential with street gearing. The entire drivetrain concept is very correct for this pick-up. A clean chassis is fitted with rack/pinion power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes w/dual master cylinder. Front suspension is a Heidts setup with coil springs/tubular a-arms and leaf springs are incorporated in the rear.
