1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale SWB - Desireable "roundeye" shortbed Chevy pickup with over 45 years of natural character! Very solid Carolina truck, just how you like to find them, which resided with the same original owner from new until recently. True fleetside shortbox option and factory equipped with a 350-V8 and TH-350 automatic transmission, power steering and power disc brakes up front. All new stainless dual exhaust and a lowering kit was just installed along with a set of staggered "Wheel Vintiques" 15" steelies and correct dog dosh caps to really give it a great stance. Truck runs out very well at any speed and gets thumbs-up everywhere it goes. Exterior retains perfect patina of the factory "Light Camel" paint however the original "Santa Fe Beige" two-tone insert has been covered up at some point to match. Very solid un-cut body with a couple "cool factor" blisters here and there but nothing too concerning. Newer chrome front bumper was added but the factory steel-step bumper is still on the rear. Interior shows well in the factory Camel Tan tones throughout. Original bench seat has been recovered in the correct vinyl, a new dash pad was installed along with new carpet. Truck also just received all new glass and seals as well as an updated stereo. Factory heater and lights all work as they should. The overall original "survivor" theme continues throughout the engine bay and even the original jack setup is still in-tact mounted securely on inner fender. Underside is solid and structurally sound - cab corners, rockers, tailgate, bed, etc. are all good, with the exception of a soft spot on passenger side floor which appears to have been "repaired" in the past. This generation squarebody is the one on everybody's bucket list and the good ones are getting harder to find. Most are still windows deep in a farm field somehwere, nevermind running and road worthy. Although this truck might not be "perfect" it is perfect for what it is. Would make a killer shop truck, awesome rolling advertisement for any style of business or just a great runaround truck for the common honey-doer. Turn-key ready for work or play!
