For Sale: 1979 Porsche 911SC in Englewood, Colorado

This is a documented two-owner classic Porsche 911SC 3.0 sunroof coupe with only 56,200 miles! Sold new locally, it has been in Colorado's arid high desert environment all its life and shows absolutely NO rust or corrosion and has remained accident-free as well. Always garaged and covered, its original #936 Silver paint is still very nice and sheepskin covers have kept the original tartan seats unworn. We have the original books, trunk tools, a file of past service work and the car runs and drives just great.

The gentleman who has owned the car for 36 years has entrusted us to represent it for him, as he is retired and downsizing. He has chosen to offer the car with no 'fluffing up,' so it represents a rare opportunity for an enthusiast to buy an unmolested survivor, detail it himself and save ten grand!. There are several minor door dings and a dent on a door edge (see pictures) plus the usual stone chips on the nose. There is one 3-inch torn seam in the passenger seat - between the tartan plaid and the leatherette. The paint meters as all-original, but could use a clay bar rub and careful buffing to enhance the shine. The A/C will need to be converted to R134A and the tires are twenty years old, and the engine area needs cleaning. There is no puff of blue smoke on start-up and not even any oil drips when sitting. We have a receipt for replacing the cam chain tensioners several years ago.

Typically our restoration shop would have done the reconditioning work, but the owner is willing to sell the car under market in return for a quicker sale as-is, making a great opportunity for any knowledgeable Porsche buff. Replace the tires and the car could be driven to California tomorrow!
