This is a unique and desirable car. The 1961 Oldsmobile convertible
dynamic 88 with mild custom touches. From the private collection of
a Texas Oil Tycoon, This vehicle was born and raised in Texas. This
vehicle underwent a frame off restoration in the 1990's. The
undercarriage of the car is completely rust-free, there are not
even pits in the frame. The engine bay was completely dismantled
and the 394 engine has been rebuilt and has a factory 4bbl
carburetor. Firewall was dismantled, painted, and restored. Engine
bay still shows excellent and the interior was completely
dismantled, including the dash and has been redone. Wiring looms
were replaced, heater box and accessories were all restored and
detailed. Interior has been reupholstered, top replaced and
weathering stripping replaced. Glass is clear and the windows line
up nicely. The Texas body was nearly 100% rust free before repaint
and the only rusty area on the vehicle at the time had been cut out
and replaced with metal. The 20+ year old paint job shows extremely
well with only minor touch-ups. Original chrome sparkles
brilliantly. Trunk is very clean and complete with spare tire and
jack. In the trunk is also a professionally installed air-ride
system. Everything on the vehicle works fine. The car has a
electric fan to make it more reliable in the Texas heat at the
time. This vehicle would make a great show car!
