When purchased it had a rebuilt 390 with a cam and electronic ignition
New door panels, master cylinder and spray on bed liner when I just purchased
Painted black that looks plum in direct sunlight
Since owned only driven on dry summer days
Since purchased 10 years ago swapped the front and rear end gears
New exhaust
Improved rideability by swapping the front 7 rear end gears and got rid of the stock 4:10 years – put in a less steep gearing (in the 3:50’s)
Little work done on engine and transmission
New clutch replaced a couple of years ago
Restored and upgraded the entire interior
Put in sound deadener throughout the cab
Added tilt steering column
Over $1,200 in a new stereo that sounds amazing
Added air condition, new carpet, headliner and dash pad
All improvements completed after purchase 10 years ago but all still in good shape
Most important upgrade was installing power steering and axle gears which made the truck an absolute joy to drive
Tool box from bed was removed, sandblasted and coated with a rubberized bed coating.
Body not perfect and has a bubble above the tool box on the bed
Truck always starts right up and has given me no problems
This is a head turner and receive positive comments whenever I take it out.
