• Built at the Ford’s Kar Kraft performance car plant as serial # KK1729
• Total Mustang BOSS 429 production in 1969 was only 857
• Restored in 2010 by previous owner, fitted at that time with a aftermarket Kaase Boss 429 engine
• Prior to the seller’s purchase the previous owner removed the Kaase Boss engine and planned to replace it with a stock, correct date coded Boss 429 engine that he had purchased over the counter from Ford in 1969
• Current owner purchased the car and the correct date code Boss 429 engine in 2023
• Current owner rebuilt the correct date coded Boss 429 engine, dynoed the engine, and installed it in the car
• The engine made 425 HP and 446-foot pounds of torque on a Superflow 901 dyno
• The transmission and rear end are original to the car, and the transmission is stamped with the car’s serial number.

Beneath its tastefully subdued exterior lurks the 429 "shotgun"--an engine designed for superspeedway racing shoehorned into the Mustang purely so that Ford could homologate the powerplant for NASCAR competition. Ford built only 857 Boss 429s in 1969 and 500 in 1970 before the option was unceremoniously dumped mid-year.
