Vehicle Description
Classic Car Addict is excited to present this one-owner 1968
Chevrolet C10 longbed pickup for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. This C10 has lived its entire life in Arizona and only
has 28,713 on the clock. The second-generation C/K was introduced
for the 1967 model year. Designated the "Action Line" generation by
General Motors, the C/K largely carried over its drop-center ladder
frame and its coil-sprung rear axle, but the body was redesigned
from the ground up to improve its capability as a multi-purpose
vehicle.
Chevrolet C10 pickups from 1967 through 1972 can be fairly credited
with supercharging the modern sport truck hobby. Sure, the '53-'56
Ford F-100s and the Chevy '55-'57 pickups were early leaders in the
street rod truck movement, but the '67-'72 Chevy/GMC C10s moved
things to another level. From big-buck SEMA show trucks to "patina"
barn finds, these trucks have proven to be super popular.
Looking inside the cab, there is new low pile black carpeting, a
newly reupholstered black vinyl bench seat with matching black door
panels. The dash is painted the same as the exterior with a black
insert that covers the original gauge cluster. Open the glove box
and it has the RPO codes and a working light. The C10 was converted
to R134 and blows nice and cold. It also features an ALPINE
CD/AM/FM radio that is in working order. The headliner was removed,
but it has matching paint.
The C10 came from the factory finished in Cardinal Red (514) and
had a full repaint done in 2010. The new paint looks more orange
than red, but in excellent condition. There really isn't a scratch
on this truck other than one slight one located on the lower
passenger door. This paint SHINES in the sun and looks even better
at night. It also has factory roof cab lights that are in working
order. All exterior lights and turn signals work as well. The
bedliner is new, sprayed black. And it has a big back window that
has a dark tint, as well as the side windows.
A replacement GM 350 crate engine was installed as part of the
refurbishment and is fitted to a Carter AFB four-barrel carburetor.
It's powered by a three-speed automatic transmission. Additional
features include an old school Motorola electronic ignition,
updated R134 A/C, power steering, new gas tank, new sending unit,
and all fresh fluids. It has heavy-duty drum brakes as well as
heavy-duty suspension. She rolls on steel 15-inch rims with
31x10.50R15 tires (we do recommend new tires).
