This is a real car with a better than original motor sporting a
1968 400 Cubic Inch engine out of a GTO bored .30 over with less
than 10,000 miles on the rebuild. This would make the HP at least
double from what you could get in 1981. This would be the last year
for the second generation for the Pontiac Firebird which began
production in 1970 with a more swoopy body style over the Coke
Bottle styling of the first generation. This particular Firebird
comes out of excellent ownership with a factory build sheet and
original owners manual. This bird fires right up and has a very
nice sound with a quick idle. It has a very strong transmission
that shifts smoothly along with good braking power with no pulling
of any kind. There is no smoke or active leaks and the underside
looks good as well. All the glass including the T-tops are in good
condition with only one thing that appears to be inop is the
passenger side window which is power and the switch feels a little
weak. Everything else is in good working order and a excellent
driver.
