Sharp looking 57 with all the upgrades that make it a great
driver!
EXTERIOR: Very clean, straight, rust free body. All metal including
fenders and optional visor. Beautiful high gloss, bright, red and
white paint. New windshield and gasket. Great looking chrome grill,
bumpers and emblems. Weather strips were replaced. It rides on a
set of chrome baby moon wheels and lettered tires.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the truck right now. The seat is rebuilt,
it has a firm cushion and two-tone upholstery. All the metal inside
is painted smooth and glossy. It has a new cool set of analog
digital gauges that light up nice and bright. It also has a Moon
Eyes vintage style tachometer on the dash. The polished tilt column
has a cushion grip wheel. There's also a retro stereo and boxed
speakers behind the seat. Down on the floor is nice black carpet
with bowtie mats and some Locar pedals. Up above it has the
optional factory waffle pattern headliner, working dome light, new
visors and mirror. The window cranks, handles and armrests are
new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Blueprint Crate motor. It's a 400 small block
dyno tuned at 507 hp. On top is an Edelbrock intake, a Holley
Sniper fuel injection and a good looking set of valve covers. A new
distributor was just installed along with plug wire looms. In front
of the motor is a March billet runner system with polished brackets
and pulleys with a serpentine belt, polished mini compressor, and
polished alternator. It also has coated headers; copper gaskets
were just installed where it meets to pipes. It runs cool with an
aluminum water pump, big aluminum radiator, custom shroud, dual
electric fans, and an overflow bottle. It has a modern power
steering system. The battery is properly secured with a billet
bracket, new cables.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the box is clean metal painted red. It
has refinished oak floor with metal strips and stainless hardware.
The fuel filler is flush mounted with a chrome cover.
UNDERSIDE: It has a very clean underside with a lot of new
upgrades. Up front is a rack and pinion steering. The brake system
has been redone. Upgraded with disc in front and a new power
booster and master. Custom relocated fuel tank. New dual exhaust
system with Flowmonster stainless mufflers. Looking up at the motor
it still looks brand new. Upgraded 4L60E overdrive automatic with a
remote oil cooler and electric fan. Currie 9 inch rear with 3.73
posi gears.
SERVICE: We inspected the truck and gave it an oil change,
installed a progressive throttle linkage, aligned the shift
indicator, tightened steering couplers, secured fuel filter and
shift rod.
This is ready for any car show, but it was really built to be
driven. The powerful motor matched with an overdrive trans and a
posi rear make fun at the light and comfortable on the highway!
