1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 - Gorgeous example of iconic Ford Muscle with plenty of show and go! 1 of only 18,045 TRUE "F05" Mach-1 fastback's built for 1972 and an original "Q-code" 351-CJ car that has received an admirable restoration by previous Ford Enthusiast owner. Complete drivetrain has recently been upgraded only 2,000 miles ago with a rebuilt 1969 429ci-V8 and C-6 automatic transmission. Motor has a few performance add-ons such as a Petronix electronic ignition system, MSD coil setup, Weiand aluminum intake, Quick-Fuel 4bbl carb and a custom dual exhaust system with ceramic coated headers. Nicely equipped with factory power steering and power disc brakes. Car has the perfect muscle stance on a set of NOS Magnum-500 wheels with BFG white-letter radials BUT the original 14" steel wheels with correct caps and trim rings are available for more of a "sleeper" look. This pony drives like a dream and can run with the best of them. Very comfortable and extremely tight cruising at any speeds. Exterior is finished in the factory optioned "Wimbledon White" with correct matte black stripe kit and satin blackouts. A Ram Air style hood, decklid spoiler, chin spoiler and an authentic set of rear window louvers really give it that 70's street machine style. Paint shows excellent throughout with the exception of a couple stress cracks found within the "rubberized" front bumper insert (pictured). The Deluxe-optioned interior contrasts nicely in the correct "Ginger" tones throughout with knitted vinyl bucket seats, center console, competition pod gauges, woodgrain steering wheel, remote mirrors and electric clock. Factory A/C has been retro-fitted with an all new R-134 upgraded system and the original radio has been updated with an AM/FM/iPod unit from RetroSound. Everything seems to work in the car such as gauges, lights, wipers, signals, etc. Engine bay is very clean and detailed. Underneath is extremely solid and all sheetmetal appears to be original with factory stampings still visible. Although performance and horsepower was on it's way out by 1972, this classic styling has always been popular among Mustang fans everywhere.
