Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this Fast and
Furious 1959 Morris Minor 1000! Anyone familiar with British
automotive history knows the Morris was a staple of affordable
motoring in the UK and it's former colonies. With over 1.5 million
sold, the Minor was a sales success thanks to being compact
practical and offering good value. No one would imagine a spend
thrift's car as a hot rod, but that's what this Morris Minors'
owner did. He saw the light compact body and rwd chassis and
thought "I bet that'll make a for a fast ride". So he set off to
make the Frankenstein monster of Frankenstein monsters! first the
itty bitty 948cc 4 banger was tossed in the trash and a tuned,
modern Mitsubishi 4G63, turbo engine from a 2008 EVO 8 was stuffed
between the fenders. The 400hp hp is harnessed by 5 speed manual
from a 3rd Gen RX7, that sends power to a 9" Ford axle with 3.73
gears! Under the body a 85 Datsun 750 mini-truck chassis serves
provides the chassis while the suspension was fortified with a
Mustang II front end and coil-overs shocks at all four corners.
Disk brakes yank this thing to a stop front and rear. Staggered
Chip Foose wheels wrapped in sticky rubber keep this Turbo powered
go-kart sunny side up, and cold AC, racing seats, and power windows
ensure you're safe and comfy during the ride. This 1959 Morris is a
riot! You definitely won't see yourself coming or going with this
ride. Make this red rocket yours today!
