Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this rare
1950 Land Rover Series I for sale. This restored light green
utility vehicle comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
certificate, indicating it was ordered as a left-hand drive unit
and exported to Goodwin Cocozza & Company in Brazil (dealer). Its
body and drivetrain were recently restored, with the body's
aluminum panels still intact, and refinished to its original light
green color. Under the hood, you'll find a 1.6L petrol engine,
which is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission (only 3rd and 4th
are syncromesh). Inside, the green vinyl seating is in quite good
shape, and the Smiths gauges include an ammeter, fuel gauge, and
km/h speedometer. The canvas top appears to be new, but even if it
isn't, it's also in great shape. This sweet Series I rides on
original steel wheels, which are outfitted with 6.00-16 Firestone
"Ground Grip" Military tube-type tires. These early Series I Land
Rovers, especially in this condition, are not easy to find. Call or
email our Houston Showroom to add it to your collection!
