This vehicle was purchased by current owner in 1979. In 1985 the body was converted from fleetside to stepside and the whole body was painted the original red/orange. It could currently be described as a 30/30, it looks good at 30mph or at 30 feet away. There are a few places where rust is resurfacing and the paint is faded from sitting in the sun, mostly under a carport its whole life. The wood bed has not been maintained. It has only been in one wreck when it was rearended and the tailgate was all that needed repair.
In 2002, a new 350 V8 Motor was installed when odometer read around 100,000 miles. From 2016 to 2023, the pickup was not started or moved. In 2023, in was serviced before it was drivable again. It is currently driven once a week.
It currently has an automatic transmission, power steering with tilt steering wheel, Power brakes, power windows and add-on air conditioner.
In 2023, 4 new tires and a new battery were installed. It's a good vehicle for someone to start getting into classic cars.
