Check out this numbers matching 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible
that is in stock and available for immediate delivery! This
Corvette is considered by many Corvette enthusiasts to be the "Holy
Grail" of Corvettes. With the factory 427ci/435hp engine attached
to the original 4 speed manual transmission, this is the "Vette of
Vettes"! Options include a 355 Posi rear end, side exhaust, TG,
bolt on aluminum wheels with red line radial tires, AM/FM radio and
lots more. This was the last of the 1963-1967 "mid-year" series of
the Corvette's second generation. and the 1967 is now the
enthusiast's favorite. But it was somewhat ignored at the time
because buyers anticipated the new body style coming the following
year. The 1967 optional aluminum "bolt on" road wheel was unique to
the year. The side fender louver treatment was unique, as was the
hood with the optional 427ci engines. Horsepower ratings ranged
from the base engine's 300hp to 435hp for the RPO L71 engine.
Output for the limited production RPO L88, of which only twenty
were sold in 1967, exceeded 500hp but was intentionally understated
to restrict its appeal to the non-racing customers. A
competition-prepared L88 set the A-Class Grand Touring land speed
record at 192.879mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats. Emergency brake
handles for 1967 moved to between the seats from under the
instrument panel, and this was the first Corvette with standard
four-way flashers, dual master cylinders, turn signals with
lane-change feature, and folding seat back latches. This is an
amazing automobile and to own a part of American Muscle Car History
is a thrill like no other. Check it out at the all-new JMAC, 371
Pine Street in historic Pawtucket, Rhode Island...you'll be glad
you did!
