Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to offer this
gleaming black 1972 Chevrolet Blazer restomod. This bad boy is set
up to win some shows or put huge grins on your face on a winding
road. The black paint is smooth and slick, and reflects like a
mirror, and the lowered stance gives this a menacing look. Under
the hood is a potent 5.3L Vortech V8, which is already strong, but
is ready to eat all of the boost you can throw at it via a
supercharger or turbo setup. Backing the 5.3 is a built 4-speed
automatic transmission, so highway driving is a breeze. Stainless
long tube headers feed into a stainless Borla dual exhaust system,
which sounds just right. The hood hinges are Eddie Motorsports
billet hydraulic units, and they open with ease and precision. If
you look closely, you'll see a glimpse of the tubular upper control
arms as you're looking in the engine bay. Looking underneath,
you'll notice the tubular lower control arms, adjustable coilover
shocks at all 4 corners, and the adjustable multi-link rear
suspension setup. The built 12-bolt rear end is harder to see
because there's a giant fuel cell just behind it. It's riding on a
set of 20-inch custom aluminum wheels by REV, and 20-inch low
profile radials wrap those REVs nicely. When it comes time to haul
this beast down to legal speeds, the Wilwood braking system is more
than up to the task. The power Wilwood master cylinder features a
Wilwood proportioning valve, allowing for front/rear brake bias
adjustment. Multi-piece slotted and drilled rotors are just the
ticket for the 6-piston Wilwood calipers at each corner, so this
thing can pop your eyes out when you get those binders going full
grab. Performance isn't the only thing this custom Blazer is about,
though: inside, luxurious Alcantara fabric covers the headliner and
door panels, and an 8-speaker audio system (with twin subwoofers in
the rear) provides concert performance for the passengers. The
driver is rewarded with a tilt steering column, topped by a billet
aluminum wheel that keeps the electronic gauge cluster constantly
in view, and power steering. Occupants will enjoy the new, but
retrostyle synthetic leather seating, air conditioning, and front
passengers get seat belts. This is one mean Blazer - make it yours.
