First introduced in 1963, the Buick Riviera stunned the world with
its drop-dead gorgeous styling, powerful engines, and abundance of
luxury. Jaguar founder and designer Sir William Lyons said that the
designers had done "a very wonderful job," and Sergio Pininfarina
declared it "one of the most beautiful American cars ever built; it
has marked a very impressive return to the simplicity of American
car design." Soldiering on for another eight generations, the
Riviera was the de facto flagship for the brand. The 6th generation
was introduced in 1979 and was the first from wheel drive Riviera.
Sales were high, and over 65k were sold in 1985.

classic personal luxury coupe is in excellent shape. The body is
very clean, with great original paint, straight panels, and great
trim. The car also features a Landau top, wire wheel covers, and a
power antenna. The interior is very plush and comfortable, with
blue cloth seats that are very clean and a spotless dashboard as
well. This well-optioned car is fitted with a number of features
including a 140hp 5.0L V8, 4bbl carb, automatic transmission, power
windows, power locks, power steering, power front disc brakes,
front-wheel drive, air conditioning, tinted glass, power seats,
cruise control, tilt steering column, rear defogger, concert
premium sound system, premium steering wheel, and variable speed
wipers.
This lovely classic has been with its original owner since new and
has been kept in like new condition. The car runs and drives very
well and is a comfortable cruiser. The car comes with a few
receipts as well as the original owner's material and the original
window sticker.
