• Base price $5,350.00
Black plate Southern California 912 with three (3) owners from new.
Finished in its factory color combination of Sand Beige over Black
upholstery. According to the maintenance record booklet, this 912
was initially imported by Anciens Etablisse-ments D'Ieteren Freres
and was delivered by San Diego Motor Imports Inc. to the first
owner, Mr. Pierson. By 1976, the 912 was purchased by Ms. Snyder,
according to the paperwork going through 2008. On December 13,
1976, at 80,371 miles, Dennis Sherman Foreign Car Service was
commissioned to disassemble and reseal the engine with new gaskets,
seals, and main bearings. Recently, the 912 has had a full
undercarriage and suspension detail; the engine was serviced, and
new Vredestein Sprint Classic 185 VR 15 tires were installed.
The Sand Beige paintwork does have a few imperfections but shows
very well with great gaps and panel fit. This short-wheelbase
example is fitted with its original soft window, 1968-year-only
side markers, and a Targa top that sits evenly with a tight seal.
The cabin is in very good condition with one-year-only door panels,
a brushed aluminum dash, a VDM wooden steering wheel, and an
original Blaupunkt AM/FM radio.
Mechanically powered by a 1600cc flat-four engine producing 100hp
paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with a four-wheel disc
braking system. Performance: 0-60 mph in 11.6 seconds, mile in
18.1 seconds, top speed of 119 mph. Complete with original pink
slip from the previous owner, maintenance record booklet, Owner's
manual, Porsche service location booklet, spare wheel, and 32 years
of service history. A rare opportunity to acquire a short-wheelbase
Soft Window Targa that has been well documented and well-serviced
throughout its life.
