Vehicle Description

Zoom Classic Cars is pleased to present this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod Coupe. Two owner car, frame off restoration, Chevrolet Perfromance 350CI/385HP Fast Burn Engine upgraded to the Chevrolet ZZ430. 5 Speed manual TREMEC transmission. 1st owner bought the car in High School in 1968 when it was originally equipped with a 6 Cylinder and 3 Speed Manual transmission. The car was driven for several years, always maintained and garaged and then put into long term storage. In the 2000s, the owner, who is an experienced machinist and professional rebuilder and restorer of classic cars embarked on a multiple year journey to reimagine his high school car into a high end restomod muscle car. The car underwent a complete frame off restoration with everything refurbished or restored to perfection. This included painting of the entire undercarriage with paint complimenting the body color that continues into the engine compartment. Engine replaced with a chromed out 350CI Crate ZZ385 situated in an immaculate engine compartment and coupled with a 5 Speed TREMEC with Hurst shifter, 12 Bolt Richmond rear end with Eaton POSI traction and 3:73 Gears. The car was expertly prepped and repainted in a slightly custom version of its original Royal Plum color and still looks flawless today. All the body panels on the car line up beautifully, the car doors shut solidly and all the chrome and badging is intact and in excellent condition. The Royal Plum color is accented beautifully by the original Parchment interior which is still in excellent overall condition and features aftermarket gauges from Stewart Warner and Maximum Performance. Other new features added include power steering, 4 way Power windows, Vintage AC, Power Baer disc brakes slotted and drilled all around, electric fan, custom gas shut-off underneath the car, stainless steel dual exhaust, adjustable air shocks and hood with cowl scoop. The owner even fashioned a custom gas cap made from a 1962 Corvette hood emblem as shown. When delivered in 2014 to the current owner, the car was like new and had been driven only about 2K miles since the rebuild. The current owner took the car to another HP level by upgrading to the ZZ430 with a kit that included a new cam, intake and a Bigger Carb. A new Ram Clutch was also added. A new high end stereo system with AUX connection, Euro Speakers and subwoofer in the trunk were expertly installed and delivers incredible sound. A K40 Radar system was installed with warning lights alerting the driver with color coded signals in the dash. The car rides on Nitto tires mounted on Billet Specialties Chrome wheels. Current owner has driven the car approximately 5K miles since purchase, has meticulously maintained the vehicle and has always kept it garage. The car shows 60K+ original miles which are the actual miles on the car. The car runs, drives and handles 100%. Comes with loads of documentation including photos documenting the restoration process, receipts from the current owner for all upgrades and maintenance done in the last 10 years and a 67 Camaro owner's manual.
