Here we have a gorgeous example of an early Elwood Engel design. Gone was the garish (but beautiful) Virgil Exner designs and new were more subtle and slab sided. Here we have a rare example with just around 2500 convertible models produced!
This car was restored in the early 1980's. A color change from a dull French Ivory to a beautiful Baron Red used on the early 80's Cordoba and Mirada. It fits this car beautifully. It was a high quality repaint that has held up beautifully. A solid undercarriage and trunk too.
Big block equipped with a 440 V8 and a three speed automatic transmission. The car runs and drives FANTASTIC. Nothing to attend to for the next owner. This is a very turn key car!
Yes, air conditioned too! Although not working currently, it's all there and hooked up. We have not tried to diagnose why. The later AM/FM stereo was installed without disrupting the dash and it works perfectly. A nice, white power soft top that does the job and smooth opening and closing manual crank windows (Even the vent windows!)
I can't say enough good things about this car. An impressive driver quality car. Check out the full gallery of pics and YouTube video links and reach out with any specific questions like a transport quote. Don't let distance bother you. Better to pay a transporter than a body man or mechanic!
