GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this stellar, 1962
Corvette convertible. The car was sold new Martin
Pollard Co. of North Hollywood, CA on February 2, 1962.
It came delivered in Honduras Maroon over black interior
with white top. It featured the 327 / 360hp, fuel injected
engine, 4 speed special order 2.20 manual transmission
and rear wheel drive. Other options included: 4.11 rear
end, direct flow exhaust, wide base wheels.
Today, the car is presented in Roman Red with a black soft top ,and
the fuel
injection unit has been removed and replaced with a 4
barrel carb and intake. The car still features its 7000RPM
tachometer, black bucket seats, spinner hubcaps, original
steering wheel and gauges etc. The car has been
upgraded to an aluminum radiator, the motor still has its
aluminum finned valve covers, clock, and aluminum
expansion tank and the unique features that would have
come with fuel injection. It starts, runs and drives great,
it remains in lovely condition and is ready to offer
motoring enjoyment to a new owner.
Documents include: Copy of sales order, letter from
dealer to Chevrolet Motor Division requesting the special
order transmission, pre delivery inspection and sales
order. G1 Corvettes never go out of style and this is an
