This 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner Retractable is a beautifully restored, mechanical sensation. The revolutionary design that combined the looks of a hardtop with open feel of a convertible, where the hardtop completely retracted into trunk area in the rear, was actually a feature that was slated for Ford's top of the line Continental Mark II.
Under the hood on this1958 Ford Skyliner is an Interceptor Special 352 Cubic Inch V8 Engine paired with a single 4 barrel carburetor that pushed out 300 horsepower in its day. 3 speed Cruise-O-Matíc transmission. Dual exhaust gives this classic Ford Cruiser a nice throaty sound. This beauty has Edelbrock headers Front disc breaks, power steering, an extra radiator fan ( used as a parade car). New upholstery, doors and seats, painted with BASF RM lacquer, both two years ago. Drive train rebuilt by previous owner. No rust all metal in top condition.
