4-Speed built to a L89 recreation.
The L89 - L71 427/435 HP Tri-Power engine provide around 475 hp and
enable a top speed of 142 mph. Chevy sold them underrated at 435hp.
The last true RPO L89 Corvette sold for $550,000 USD at Bloomington
Gold Corvette Auction in 2011. There was only 16 ever made.
This is a factory 427ci with manual Muncie M21 4- speed Corvette.
The rear-end is a 3:73. Has been fully restored to NCRS standards.
Note not numbers matching the 427 is a 1966 Corvette block (date
coded). The '66 and '67 blocks are the same. It is running the 3x2
tri-power with NEW not rebuilt 3650 and 3659 carbs. The carburetors
are correct reproductions. Has the correct TALL tri-power manifold.
As a note the 427ci has the painted valve covers on, but a chrome
set comes with sale. A true factory aluminum L89 heads that are
stamped 392 casting number. The '67 is as close to the true 435-L89
build as you'll ever find. Complete rebuild of the motor and
transmission during the restoration. Total mileage since restored
23,472.
The exterior is a mirror finish Sunflower Yellow paint with Tuxedo
Black stripe big block hood is spotless. The body gaps on this car
are absolutely perfect. The stunning paint pops with the DC
Corvette Rally wheels that are date coded. The RPO code N14 C2 side
mount exhaust (side pipes) is as all-American as it gets. The
correct look and perfect sound for a big block. Stunning white and
black combination with all new carpet, bucket seat covers & foam,
and door panels. Even the sun vires is in plastic sleeves to save
from smudges or fingerprints. It just doesn't get any nicer! This
