The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the ultimate expression of Porsche's
dedication to high-performance sports cars. Building upon the
legacy of the iconic 911 model, the GT2 RS represents the
culmination of decades of engineering prowess and motorsport
heritage.
Porsche first introduced the GT2 variant of the 911 in 1995 with
the 993 generation, aiming to create a road-legal racing machine
that pushed the boundaries of performance. Over the years, each
iteration of the GT2 evolved, becoming more powerful, more agile,
and more technologically advanced. The 2018 GT2 RS, however, took
this evolution to unprecedented levels. Unveiled at the 2017
Goodwood Festival of Speed, the 991.2 GT2 RS was instantly
recognized as the fastest and most powerful 911 ever produced.
Powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, the GT2 RS
produced a staggering 690 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. This
immense power was channeled to the rear wheels through a
lightning-fast seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, enabling
breathtaking acceleration and shifts in less than 100
milliseconds.
This 2018 Porsche GT2 RS has been tastefully specced, boasting a
beautiful finish in Porsche's GT Silver Metallic, and respectable
options, such as the notable $18,000 Weissach Package, which
replaces the roof panel, anti-roll bars, and front lid with carbon
fiber instead of magnesium. To go along with that, this GT2 RS also
includes the $13,000 lightweight magnesium wheels, $3,490 front
axle lift kit, and $3,480 extended leather and alcantara
interior.
Stepping into the cockpit of this rocket ship on wheels, you will
be greeted to a beautiful black leather and alcantara interior,
accented by the platinum grey stitching. With the inclusion of the
Weissach Package, the car receives carbon fiber bucket seats rather
than the standard sport seats. Looking up towards the center dash,
you will find that this car is equipped with the Sport Chrono
Package, with the beautiful lap dial finished in white, ready to
record the drivers lap times.
This GT2 RS was delivered to Stevens Creek Porsche in Santa Clara,
California back in September of 2018. The car has only had 1
previous owner since new and has lived its whole life in the golden
state of California. With 2,144 miles on the odometer, the previous
owner only took it out in the most optimal conditions, and the car
presents as if just left the showroom floor. All servicing and
maintenance has been carried out by Porsche of Stevens Creek over
the last 6 years of ownership.
Limited to a production run of just 1,213 units worldwide, the 2018
Porsche 911 GT2 RS became an instant collector's item, sought after
by enthusiasts and collectors alike. Its combination of raw power,
race-bred technology, and exclusivity solidified its place as one
of the most significant and revered models in Porsche's illustrious
history.
