Early Firebirds are highly collectible and sought after. At the top
of many Pontiac fan's lists is the Firebird convertible. This
handsome 1968 Pontiac Firebird convertible is an excellent example
of why these cars are desirable. The straight body and sleek
styling are enhanced with a deep and glossy red paint finish with
sparkling chrome bumpers that set off with a jet-black convertible
top. The car's appearance improved with an upgraded Firebird
400-style hood with twin simulated hood scoops. The classic Pontiac
Rally II wheels have been upgraded from a 14-inch to a 15-inch size
and wrapped with Firestone Firehawk SS20 raised white lettered
tires that fill out the fender wells perfectly and look
fantastic.
This Firebird has a highly desirable deluxe interior featuring
crisp, comfortable, and correct reproduction "comfort weave"
Parchment White material with matching deluxe door panels with
molded-in armrests and pull handles. The interior also features an
upgraded retro steering wheel, cold factory air conditioning, and
an optional console with a floor shifter.
Under the twin-scoop hood is a smooth-running,
believed-to-be-number-matching YJ code 350 cubic inch V8 engine
with dual exhaust mated to an automatic transmission. The engine
bay is refreshingly unmodified and stock, with the correct air
cleaner and valve covers, as well as power steering and power
