Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the
classic and muscle car business. When Pontiac decided to put the
389 V8 from their full-size cars into the mid-size LeMans for 1964,
they unleashed the opening salvo of what became known as the
horsepower wars. Hoping to sell 5000 units, Pontiac executives were
stunned to discover that they had sold 32,450 units by year's end
and inadvertently started the muscle car era. This spawned many
desirable automobiles, but the GTO's are fondly remembered as some
of the best-looking street warriors ever produced. Our handsome
Cameo Ivory (C) 1965 GTO Convertible beautifully illustrates the
the crisp styling (and proper exhaust note) that make these icons
irresistible to many. Beneath the familiar scooped and now
functional hood is the freshly rebuilt 389 V8 with the legendary
Tri-Power induction. This tiger has been fully balanced and decked
by the pros at AMS Racing in LA, sports a stout hydraulic roller
cam, and belts out a healthy 411 hp on the dyno. Additional
features include power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes with
drilled and slotted rotors, power top, a Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission with Hurst shifter, tubular steel A-arms with
coilovers, tubular steel rear lower control arms, adjustable upper
control arms, and adjustable shocks, stainless steel dual exhaust
system with stainless Pypes mufflers, Rally Gauge Cluster, tilt
steering column, console, and classic B.F.G. Redline tires
(205/75R15 F, 225/70R15 R) wrapped around appropriate Cragar S/S
wheels. PHS documentation confirms this beauty was always a
Tri-Power and Cameo Ivory car, but originally had a red interior
with an automatic transmission. Also, we've ordered the foam seal
for the Ram Air pan and will install it shortly. Another killer
classic from the team that can make your dream a reality. Ray-Bans
and sunscreen not included. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full
