GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this outstanding, highly
original, 1974 Triumph TR-6 for consideration. This vehicle has
changed hands only twice since it was purchased new. First, in 1976
when acquired by the second owner, and again in 2007 when acquired
by the current owner. This vehicle has had the pleasure of auto
enthusiast ownership, and as a result, it has been properly stored
in climate controlled environments, never rusty and it remains in
outstanding condition cosmetically and mechanically. This
unrestored TR-6 remains highly original featuring its' original
frame, body and sheet-metal, factory original and untouched under
side, and factory original Sapphire Blue paint over original Shadow
Blue interior.
In 2008 this 1974 Triumph TR-6 had a complete mechanical /
performance restoration on the original motor performed at the
masterful hands of Bob Kolenda of Fox Motorsports, LLC.. Among
countless other details this included a new performance cam, ported
and polished head, all new valves, guides, seats, bearings,
gaskets, clutch assembly, transmission rebuild, carb rebuild, brake
calipers, suspension components, ignition upgrade, performance
balancing kit, pistons, rings, and the list goes on. Over 17000
dollars was invested in the mechanical rebuild of this TR 6 at that
time, and all work and parts are clearly detailed in the receipts.
Since, the car has been in a private collection, driven and enjoyed
for approximately 1200 miles, kept in a detailed state, and has
resided in a climate controlled environment during virtually all of
its' ownership history.
The performance of this car is amazing. The professionally prepared
motor and mechanicals offer excellent power and drivability since
no detail was overlooked, as performance and safety were at the
core of the rebuild. The original cosmetics of this car are quite
amazing as well and give testimony to the responsible ownership
history of the vehicle.
With well-kept original collector cars commanding a premium now
days, this TR6 offers the best of both worlds: Original cosmetics
and an original numbers matching engine that has been completely
rebuilt to better than original specs. The car offers an exciting
open-air British Motoring Experience, with proven performance and
continued reliability for years to come. Close inspection is
encouraged - this TR6 offers no disappointments. Documentation
includes the original driver's handbook, original owner
information, and detailed documentation of the mechanical rebuild.
The car also features a high quality sound system with CD and USB
port. Car comes with original full Tonneau, original console with
stock stereo, and new window felts that have not been installed.
Original stock exhaust and original bias ply redline tyres can be
included, but packaged and shipped only at the buyer's expense.
