1966 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 REAL DEAL-138 VIN! FRAME OFF RESTORED This 1966 real SS is one good looking Chevelle. It presents itself very well. Nice straight body with its gorgeous factory color, code F-Marina Blue. This Chevelle has great fit and finish! All of the exterior trim, front and rear bumpers, front grill, headlight bezels, wheel well moldings, mirrors and emblems are like new. The weather stripping and seals are new. It rides on a set of 15 X7 Chevy Rally wheels with factory trim rings and flat center caps wrapped with a set of BFG T/A radial tires 255/60/15 in rear and 215/70/15 in front for that aggressive stance. Under the hood sits a GM crate ZZ502ci, 500+ hp motor, dual feed Holley carburetor HEI ignition, new cadmium plated brake booster with upgraded dual master cylinder, 4 core radiator with correct fan shroud, Chevrolet black aluminum valve covers and correct chrome air cleaner lid. It still retains its factory exhaust manifolds. It has all new wiring. The engine bay is painted and has a satin black finish. The blue interior was redone with new seat cushions and upholstery. In between the bucket seats sits its factory four speed console with a shifter coming up out of it!! There is new carpet and sill plates and the headliner is like new and is tight as a drum. Looking at the dash, the chrome trim sparkles. It has an aftermarket retro AM/FM radio, a set of factory gauges mounted in the dash with a knee knocker tach and a two spoke optional factory steering wheel. The armrest bases and door panels are like new. The heater controls slide with ease. The undercarriage looks to be all clean metal, no signs of patches or rust. It is painted and has a nice satin black finish. The bottom of the motor is clean and painted Chevy Orange. The Muncie M21 close ratio 4-speed transmission is clean as well. It has upgraded front disc brakes and a 12-bolt 3:73 posi rear end. It has new front and rear shocks and springs. There is a new dual exhaust system that runs all the way to the back and dumps out under the rear bumper with chrome tips. There is a newer gas tank, straps and sending unit. The E-brake assembly is complete and working. The trunk looks good, all clean metal. The rear quarter panels look to be original. It is detailed with a coat of gray splatter paint. It has a spare tire, jack assembly, trunk mat and new trunk weather stripping. This Chevelle is the real deal! It's a super running car! It is a very desirable color, Marina Blue and it's a clean car! Need I say anymore?
