from Ford Performance. This beast is paired with a Modern Driveline
Tremec TKO 6-speed transmission, delivering seamless and

Braking is a breeze with the Baer Hydro Assist power brake unit,
and the Painless Wiring installation ensures a flawless electrical
system. The engine bay is a masterpiece itself, with a
paint-to-match high-gloss finish and dual Optima batteries
providing reliable power. "The Sarge" is not just a restomod; it's
a testament to modern performance and classic style fused into one
extraordinary pro-touring machine.
The exterior is a stunning blend of classic muscle and modern
flair. Drenched in PPG Checkered Red paint, it features a striking
carbon fiber gray paint stripe that emphasizes its aggressive
lines. The Shelby GT350R style front bumper gives it a fierce and
commanding presence on the road. Foose multi-piece custom wheels
are wrapped in Falken Azenis RT615R tires, with sizes F: 265/35/18
and R: 295/40/18, ensuring superior grip and handling. The stopping
power is provided by Baer 6P front and rear disc brakes, paired
with Baer slotted and drilled rotors for optimal braking
performance. The Ring Brothers hood and hood pins, along with LED
headlights and Ring Brothers door handles, add touches of modernity
and style. The exterior trim is powder-coated black, perfectly
complementing the sleek Ring Brothers tail lights and the
paint-to-match flush-fitted rear bumper. Finishing touches include
the billet GT gas tank cap, making it a masterpiece of automotive
artistry and engineering.
Interior is a masterpiece of custom craftsmanship and modern
technology. The full custom TMI vinyl and suede treatment graces
the dash, center console, seats, doors, rear seats, headliner, and
trunk kit, creating a luxurious and cohesive look. A custom black
billet steering wheel is mounted on an IDIDIT adjustable steering
column, offering both style and comfort. The Dakota Digital gauges,
reverse lockout, and touch & go module provide state-of-the-art
instrument. A billet Ring Brothers shifter and sill plates add a
touch of refined elegance. The audio experience is elevated with a
Pioneer Champion Series sound system, featuring a 6 component
speaker package, GM-D8604 dual amplifiers, and dual 10-inch
subwoofers, all controlled via a touchscreen Pioneer radio with
navigation and Apple CarPlay. Comfort is assured with Vintage air
conditioning and heat, and practicality is enhanced by fold-down
rear seats and 2-point Crow lap belts. The billet trunk hinge kit
ensures that even the details are handled with precision, making
the interior as impressive as its exterior and performance.
Under the body lies a full chassis by Detroit Speed, designed to
provide unparalleled strength and performance. Up front, the
Detroit Speed Aluma-Frame front suspension system ensures precise
handling, while the Quadralink rear suspension kit with coilovers
enhances stability and control. JRI coilovers and sway bars from
Detroit Speed further optimize ride quality and cornering prowess.
The Currie 9-inch rear end delivers robust power transfer, and the
mini tub modification allows for wider tires, enhancing traction.
Steering is finely tuned with the Detroit Speed rack, and
structural integrity is bolstered by the torque box kit and
subframe connectors. An Inland Empire driveshaft ensures reliable
power delivery, while a TANKS stainless steel gas tank provides
durability and corrosion resistance. The 3-inch MagnaFlow stainless
steel exhaust system adds a throaty roar and efficient exhaust
flow, rounding out a setup that blends modern engineering and a
classic muscle car character.
This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback was a labor of love by Rebuilding
Generations, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the
gap between generations through automotive restoration. Their goal
is to mentor young enthusiasts by pairing them with experienced
professionals, passing on valuable skills and knowledge. This
particular Mustang, showcased at SEMA 2016, epitomizes their
mission.
The project began with a classic 1965 Mustang Fastback, which was
transformed into a modern pro-touring machine while retaining its
iconic vintage charm. Over the course of the rebuild, the team
incorporated state-of-the-art components and custom modifications
to enhance both performance and aesthetics. The end result is a
breathtaking restomod that not only pays homage to the Mustang's
rich heritage but also showcases the innovative spirit and
craftsmanship of the Rebuilding Generations team. This car stands
as a testament to the power of collaboration and the enduring
appeal of the Ford Mustang.
