second generation 1964 Falcon featured revised, more squared-off
styling, and boy do they look good!
This 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Sport Convertible wears the well-known
Wimbledon White which is offset by a black convertible top. A new
top has been installed along with the top motor, lines, and
cylinder for a seamless user experience. Fourteen inch, 5-lug
chrome Smoothie wheels are wrapped by Hankook Kinergy ST's that
connect to the pavement.
Expose the 260CID V8 under the bonnet and be further impressed by
how clean this classic is. A Summit Double Pumper 4 barrel sits
atop an aluminum high rise intake. Mallory Unilite Electronic
Ignition flows the power while an aluminum radiator keeps those
temps cool. Front disc brakes with Kelsey Hayes 4-piston calipers
slow everything down. Raybestos dual bowl master cylinder with a
proportioning valve ensures fluids are pressurized properly. A
smooth shifting C4 transmission with the converted Lokar floor
shifter and power steering make this Falcon a treat to cruise.
A mostly original interior takes you back to a great era. A factory
Deluxe interior with bucket seats and a center console seat you
comfortably. The driver and passenger seats were re-cushioned with
the factory material reused and still presents very well. As
mentioned, the power top has been addressed and operates as it
should. A modern under dash AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth radio has been
installed and updated speakers get the sound out clearly. A Sunpro
Tachometer rests on the dash to keep an eye on the RPM's. The
Falcon is equipped with heat and defrost should this gem from the
Blue Oval company end up north. An undercoat has been applied as
the current seller wanted to make sure the Falcon stays clean for
several years to come.
