goal with its full brown base colored repaint, which has only 192
miles of use since the truck was rebuilt. The only major hint that
this truck is something special is its aggressively lowered stance
courtesy of its Mustang II front and four-link rear airbag
suspension. That setup hides the big glistening Billet Specialties
wheels, which measure 18 inches up front and a full 20 inches in
back shod in modern 245/45ZR-18 and 275/40ZR-20 rubber,
respectively.
Inside, we find a beautiful custom interior complete with a
modernized hybrid bucket/bench seating arrangement with an armrest,
updated gauges, HVAC controls, steering wheel, and Lokar
floor-mounted shifter. Redone door panels, matching dashboard, and
Chevy insignia floormats round out this retro-modern vibe.
Under the hood, a contemporary 5.3-liter LS Vortec V-8 sits,
completed with 862 heads, shorty headers, and finishing up with a
trick side-exit exhaust built into each running board, just aft of
the cab. That power is funneled through a 4L60E four-speed
automatic transmission before heading off to a ten-bolt rear end
and onto those huge rear meats waiting to grab as much tarmac as
possible.

This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Restomod sports an attractive
short bed configuration that has been fully redone with a woodgrain
bed to complement the old-school tailgate embossed with "Chevrolet"
