For Sale: 1906 Cadillac Antique in Watford, Ontario

Vehicle Description

One of America’s earliest automakers, the Cadillac Automobile Company was founded by industrial legends including Henry Leland and Robert Faulconer. Its first car was produced in October 1902 and ever since then, Cadillac remains one of the most famous luxury auto manufacturers. The early years featured superior manufacturing technology and impeccable precision. Engineering advancements were largely the product of Leland & Faulconer’s talented engineer, Alanson P. Brush, who held patents for cooling systems, engine technology, and transmission and steering breakthroughs. By 1906, many of these breakthroughs were applied to Cadillac production models.

Formerly under the long-term care and enjoyment of an enthusiastic Horseless Carriage Club member and their family, this 1906 Cadillac Model K is a highly attractive and correct example of Cadillac’s highly advanced early models. Featuring styling updates for 1906, the Model K offered one body style – the restyled Victoria runabout. The dash was now made of pressed steel and the hood corners were now rounded. These design cues would continue through 1908. Fenders were now canted at the front. While manufacture of the folding tops were still outsourced, Cadillac would soon make them in-house by 1907. Just 3,650 Cadillac K and M models were produced for 1906 and they are far rarer today as early examples of Cadillac excellence. Appraised value of $95,000 CAD. Canadian tax is not applicable.
