Vehicle Description

Ground up restoration on this 1983 Camaro.  Taken down to the shell and repaired all rust with new sheet metal full welded where needed.  All old paint removed down to bare metal and epoxy primer applied.  All body work done on epoxy primer followed by 2K primer and several block sanding sessions before sealer and 3 coasts of wanda base followed by 3 coats wanda clear coat.  Wet sanding and buffing/polishing followed to achieve a better than factory finish.  Interior sheet metal epoxy primed and all seams caulked before 2 K primer. .

Interior street metal epoxy primed and all seams caulked before 2k primer. 

Entire build done by owner.

Engine & Drivetrain:

2003 5.3 liter Chevrolet engine fully rebuilt and machine work completed as needed..  

New parts include rod and main bearings piston rings, cam bearings and all seals & gaskets.

All ARP fasteners for head bolts,rod bolts and main bearing bolts.

Texas speed 224 CAM lobe separation 112 valve lift @ 1.7 600

LS7 lifters

Summit true roller timing chain set

Rocker arm trunion upgrade to needle bearings

LS6 Dorman intake manifold

Factory rebuilt injectors

Holley terminator X Max drive by wire engine control system.

Hydroboost brake booster with Gen 4 master cylinder.

Custom made exhaust system with Borla XR pro mufflers.

Fuel supplied by Aeromotive Stealth fuel tank and pump with corvette filter and regulator.

Steering:

All new tie rod ends, idler arm

Steering box lares 11282.

Detroit speed steering shaft kit.

Hawks wonder bar.

QAI Front struts adjustable/rear Monroe shocks.

New front sway bar beltech

Front lowering coil springs/rear lowering coil springs.

Hawks 17” Wheel & Tire Package with Reproduction IROC wheels and Nitto  275/40 X ZR17 NT555 Tires.

Spohn tubular front crossmember for LS swap.

 

New headliner.

New windshield, dash pad, carpet, seat upholstery.

Dakota digital gauges VHX gauge system

Heat and AC are factory and functional.

Factory radio and cassette are in working order.

New speakers have been installed.

Handmade custom door panels and all interior plastic has been refinished.

All compartments are functional and all locks work.

Wiper motor is 89 Nissan due to engine interference so wipers are on their own switch and work hi and lo but no park.  Have to park by shutting off at the right time

Washers do work with the press of the button.

Hood has functional trac spec louvers meaning you can see the top of the engine.

Have a fabricated  slip in aluminum tray in case of rain or washing the car.

I also have a complete set (front & rear) coil over suspension conversion kit along with a couple sets of extra springs.

I didn’t like the coil over ride so I went back to coil springs for a smoother ride.

Also have the rear sway bar and attaching brackets not installed at this time.

This and the coil overs with go with the sale of the car.

Car has about 1250 miles since build completion in 2021
