Vehicle Description
1973 Plymouth Roadrunner Satellite. Literal barn find in Missouri.
Vin # shows that the car is a Satellite. What we know is that
someone put a lot of time and effort into this transformation into
a roadrunner. I found the car behind a garage in Missouri where it
had been sitting since 2010. That owner picked up the car from the
owner's mother in Mississippi where it had been sitting he believes
since 1989 when the owner passed away. The mother knew absolutely
nothing about the car. From all indications and no paperwork other
than a clean title and what little the mother knew we believe that
the car was done in 1984. It needs a complete restore. It has rust
and needs most of the interior redone. It appears to have all
appropriate decals on the exterior and correct Roadrunner emblems
on dash and steering wheel. Have all 4 Rally wheels and trim rings.
The tires are from 1984 and have about half tread left on them. Two
of them do not hold air at all. I had to crawl under the car to
find out what engine it has. The block numbers show that it is a
1975 360. This engine has a factory Chrysler 4 barrel intake with
an aftermarket Holly / Edelbrock four barrel carburetor and dual
exhaust. The engine appears to run great with a very quick throttle
response. I installed a new fuel pump, battery and new gas tank
while the car was still in Missouri so I could drive it up onto a
car trailer using the spare tire and rear left tire that holds air
for about 5 minutes. The seats are in fair condition with no rips
or tears. The door panels are in Fair shape but held on with lathe
screws across the bottom instead of the factory clips. Dashpad,
rear deck, carpet and headliner are toast. It has a roadrunner Dash
panel with rally gauges. It also has an automatic transmission and
aftermarket sway bars front and rear. The car currently has a
broken passenger door window. It's spent one week at my
brother-in-law's Farm and ended up getting broken with a rock
thrown by a lawn tractor.
