Catalina for consideration. Pontiac Motor Division was the leader
of the pack when it came to "Big Iron" American performance. The
Catalina was considered the ultimate family car for the performance
minded buyer. It was very common to see these cars getting the
groceries during the week, and going "wheel to wheel" at the local
drag strip on the weekends.
The 1964 Pontiac Catalina offered here is a true 2+2 optioned car
finished in its original factory color combination of Starlight
Black over Black interior. It is powered by its 389 CID V8,
4-barrel carb, 4-speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive.
The car is highly optioned to include: Bucket seats, center
console, power steering, power brakes, rare and desirable heavy
duty aluminum 8 lug brake and wheel package, AM/FM radio with
reverb and rear speaker, factory tachometer and gauges, vacuum
gauge, dual exhaust, safety lamp in trunk, heavy duty springs, and
Hurst shifter.
The color combination along with the stance gives an awesome
sinister presentation. The exterior body shows excellent fitment
and straight lines. The Starlight Black exterior paint lays flat
and shows deep and glossy. The interior appears to have had new
carpet, new seat upholstery, and new headliner. The dash, door
panels, console, Steering wheel with horn ring, brightwork, knobs
buttons etc, all appear to be original.
The car starts, runs and drives very well. It is fast and gives big
iron performance and ride quality that has been lost with that
generation. You do not see these every day, and quality examples
