Melanson Motors is proud to offer this 1966 Dodge Coronet 500. This nicely restored example started its rebuild as a rust free, original panel car. Pictures of the car in bare metal are included in the sale. The car is absolutely stunning inside, out, and underneath! The body is laser straight and the paint has been wet sanded and polished to an excellent finish. The original bumpers were re-chromed and the original stainless trim was all removed and polished to perfection.
The engine is the original 361 cubic inch which has been performance built and bored .030 over by Central N.Y Crank and Machine. The heads were also resurfaced by Central N.Y Machine. The engine has an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Hooker headers, and an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. This Coronet has a stunning black interior. The original style bucket seats were re-foamed and recovered. The carpet and headliner are new. The center console and door panels are in excellent shape. The original AM radio sits in the dash to look proper, but the car has a modern Panasonic radio deck hidden in the glovebox. The speakers in the rear package tray are updated Kaption speakers. This Coronet has power disc brakes on the front. It also has power steering. The glass is good with no cracks or chips present. It rides on 14” Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in Cooper Cobra tires.
