In 1964, the second year of the C2; Chevrolet put its focus on ride
and performance of the Corvette. The '64 received a single pane
back window, lost the simulated air intakes on its hood and receive
a functional air intake on the left rear pillar. Chevrolet took
large strides to improve the comfort of the Vette's ride without
diminishing performance by adding progressive-rate springs, and
redesigned shocks. With added sound insulation and revised body and
transmission mounts, the 64 model-year became a car that would not
only perform but also serve as a daily driver.
This 1964 Corvette is the result of a comprehensive frame-off
restoration. Purchased by Motor City Classic Cars from a high-end
Corvette collector, the car has been meticulously cared for and is
presented in Corvette signature Riverside Red with matching
removable hard top. With the absence of a soft top, this Corvette
is a true roadster when the hard top is off. Powered by its
matching-numbers 327ci 250hp V8 and tied to a manual 3-speed
transmission, this car is the definition of a great cruiser.
Throughout the exterior and interior, this Corvette presents itself
at a very high level and its unique build will capture the eye of
anyone around it.
Unless stated otherwise, mileage shown on odometer is exempt and
