Oldsmobile's Rocket 88 is no exception. Recorded in Memphis by Ike
Turner and his Kings of Rhythm in1951, "Rocket 88" has been widely
accepted as the first Rock & Roll record and went to #1 on the
Billboard Music Charts. When the Oldsmobile Rocket 88 came out in
1949 it was the fastest car on the road. Cars and girls have always
