Possibly the highest option 1966 GTO: 40 options! Pontiac
Historical documented, it was born a Tri-Power, 4-speed and loaded
with options. #s matching motor. Body off frame restoration to
factory specs. Featured in Muscle Cars magazine.
EXTERIOR: This one sits proud! The body is clean and straight. No
rust or issues and the panels fit right. Repainted in Montero Red
and it is polished smooth and glossy. All the chrome and trim are
sparkling. Glass is clear, weatherstrips are soft. Here are the
exterior options: door edge guards, remote mirror, pinstripe, a
power antenna, and a vinyl top. It also has Rally 1 wheels wrapped
in reproduction redline tires.
INTERIOR: All original interior except the carpet and it's the in
great shape! Talk about options, this list is long! Let's start
with the most exciting: my favorite is the reverb speaker, and it
works! It also has a factory Am-Fm radio, rally gauges, a deluxe
wheel on a tilt column, rear defogger, and a hazard light switch.
The bucket seats are special: driver's side is power, passenger
side reclines, and both have headrests. Down on the floor is deluxe
seatbelts, reproduction mats, pedal trim, a center console which is
home to a Hurst shifter with optional walnut knob. Overhead it has
map lights as part of the lamp group. Everything looks great and it
is very functional.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt original 389-360 hp Tri-Power engine.
Correct casting code and date, correct WS code and the unit number
matches the protect-o-plate. It has correct big valve 093 heads,
068 intake and large venturi carbs. It also has the correct chrome
valve covers and air cleaner lids, correct foam filters, choke,
fuel lines, fuel filter etc. The entire engine compartment is
detailed to the way that specific factory would have done it:
proper overspray on the firewall with the assembly line markings.
It also has reproduction hoses, clamps, spring clamp battery cables
and Delco battery topper. Other options include transistor
ignition, power steering, power brakes and under hood lamp.
Everything looks proper: the battery is secured, windshield washers
are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: You actually pump a plunger in the glovebox and
that pops the trunk! Yes, that's a factory option. It also has an
optional trunk light that works. Reproduction weatherstrip and 2
piece trunk mat. It is complete with a matching reproduction
redline tire on a Rally 1 wheel and correct jack assembly. Inside
is clean metal with a spatter paint.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame during restoration. All rock
solid floors has the factory undercoat, it was cleaned and
freshened up with some black paint. The chassis was all stripped
down, repainted then rebuilt. The steering and suspension were
redone, it even has correct spiral shocks. The brake system has
been thoroughly gone through. It has optional metallic brake
linings on the finned drums at all four wheels, e-brake is hooked
up. Correct style dual exhaust with the offset mufflers and
resonators in the tailpipes. Looking up at the motor it is very
fresh, has correct starter. The correct Muncie 4-speed is also
fresh with a Hurst shift linkage. Restored drive shaft with the
assembly line markings reapplied. Correct 3.55 posi rear end.
SERVICE: Our shop inspected the car and replaced all three foam air
cleaners with correct reproductions, rebuilt and adjusted all three
carburetors, fixed the heater blower, and turn signals. We cleaned
the tracks, motors, and clutches on the power seat. We replaced a
missing bolt on the front sway bar and repaired a connection at a
brake light.
This is a special GTO, dare I say it's the ultimate 66 GTO? The
fact it looks and functions this great and it's an older
restoration is a real testament to the integrity of this car.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for

professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
