This iconic 1953 Dodge Power Wagon is a true gem for vintage truck
enthusiasts. Model Dodge B-4-PW. Own a piece of history. With its
rugged design, powerful flat head engine, and timeless appeal, it's
a head-turner wherever it goes. Whether you're a collector or
someone who appreciates classic vehicles, this Power Wagon won't
disappoint. This truck is mostly original, very clean and never has
been abused. With its original, unrestored drivetrain which starts,
runs and drives nearly perfect. Original 4x4 works as does its PTO
driven factory winch.
This is mostly an original truck. At some point when it became a
municipal truck, it had a custom 1 ton flat bed put on it and was
set up for a plow (however the plow components have been removed).
Its believed that this truck did go through a body restoration in
the past 30 years. The frame has been bead blasted and powdered
coated perfectly. There is no rust anywhere on this frame. The cab
had some restoration work done as well, where the roof appears to
have had a dent repair on the roof. This area has some cracks in it
on the drivers side, however everything appears to be solid. There
is no rot anywhere that we could find. The paint is older, but
still shines nicely. There are some scratches and other flaws
around, but the body is in very good condition including the doors,
fenders, hood and entire nose of the truck. It drives very nicely,
shifts nicely (double clutch/non-syncro transmission). The engine
starts easy and runs very nicely. Very rarely do you get to see a
well maintained original drivetrain in one of these trucks that
runs so good. Recent work includes a normal 12V alternator (truck
is a 12 volt system). Has bucket seats but both have some small
tears in them. Truck steers very well (manual steering) and rides
nicely. Brakes work GREAT! Recent modifications include seatbelts.
Drive and enjoy as is or perform a easy restoration to make a high
quality showroom truck.
This truck is believed to be an original PA truck that was used as
a town Municipal utility truck for many years. It was then brought
to the LRA Museum in Bristol PA where it remained in a climate
controlled facility for quite some time until it was sold to the
current owner in 2021. Since 2021 it has been used to be put on
display on local car shows and has been stored in a climate
controlled facility since. The owner is selling due to lack of use
and too many other projects and feels this truck should be enjoyed
by someone who can appreciate its originality and condition.
1 ton flatbed.
