condition inside and out. This car is a Euro Spec unit imported
from Germany in the late 80s. These cars still retained thesuper
desirable small bumper 107 SL, which is a much sleeker looking car
than its later incarnations. This car is straight out of an estate
and is believed to have only 39,000 actual miles, but has no
paperwork to confirm it. It is rare to find these SL's with this
kind of low mileage because once you drive this car you won't want
to get out. Here is your chance to own the Mercedes Iconic R107 SL

The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely
well maintained. The paint on the car is still its original color
of Code 568 Signal Red and is an older repaint but shines
beautifully. The car has been completely inspected underneath from
front to back and is solid as a rock with ZERO rust or ANY kind of
corrosion on top or underneath. The car is riding on gorgeous
Upgraded 15" "gullideckel" wheels with fresh Michelin tires. All
chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. All glass
is original, even the wind shield is original Mercedes German
glass. The black soft top is like new with crystal clear plastic
windows. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in
awesome shape. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 9
out of 10. There is one area of paint shrinkage on the strip
between the top boo and trunk lid about a 3" x3" area.
The interior is in great shape all around. The dash and door panels
are in excellent condition. The original euro cloth seats are all
in very good condition and look absolutely as good as the day it
was new which shows the quality of material used in this car. The
carpets are all very nice and have been professionally cleaned. All
dials and controls function as they should; power windows and
antenna also are fully functional. The A/C does blow cold and good
amount of volume, but the center vents are not working the way they
should. Cold Air is diverted up to the defrost. Another item to
note is the Speedometer/Odometer has been changed over to GPS
controlled Digital Unit. This was because the speedometer cable was
broken and being a 5-Speed the shop could not find a replacement
and this was done as an alternative option. Miles on the unit match
up with the carfax showing regular mile accumulation over the years
with no rollbacks.
Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and
shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled
of the lot. The straight 6 engine is surprisingly quick and
responsive. Many Mercedes experts and mechanics stand behind the
2.8L as the best engine Mercedes ever made. It is reliable, easy to
fix, and parts are readily available. The suspension is very tight
and feels solid even at autobahn speeds above 90mph. The most
recent owner spent over thousands working the Air Conditioning
system, complete front end overhaul, all new shocks, all new
brakes, fuel system gone through with new fuel pumps and pressure
regulators, and transmission fully resealed as well as a recent
full tune up including ballast, coils, plugs, wires. The RARE
5-Speed Manual transmission shifts like butter and is SO RARE to
see in a 107 car.
All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest small bumper
SL's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has
been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous
owners. This Mercedes is a fantastic car for the price and includes
every option offered in this car. This is your chance to get an
