Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 25th year in the
classic and muscle car business. By 1968 almost every domestic
automobile manufacturer had at least one model that was intended to
compete in the Muscle Car Wars that were raging at the time. Since
Pontiac's GTO had debuted in 1964, however, many more options had
become available, dealers therefore loaded cars with profitable
features, and prices soared accordingly. Consequently, many of the
young buyers that the cars were intended for could no longer afford
them. Plymouth's answer to this problem was to offer a no-frills,
bench seat sedan with a strong engine and transmission for a low
price. Voila! The resulting Road Runner was so successful that
Plymouth had to scramble to fill nearly 45,000 first-year orders
after anticipating around 2500. This stunning Rallye Green 1969
Plymouth Road Runner is a fine example of this storied marque. Lift
the functional Air Grabber hood (N96) and you'll be greeted by the
strong and nicely detailed 383 ci big block (E63) that's been
fortified with a Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer 383
aluminum intake manifold, and MSD ignition. Additional features
include power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes with drilled and
slotted rotors, A833 4-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter
(D21), beautiful leather custom 4-bucket-seat interior with
console, custom embroidered trunk panels and floor mats, in-dash
tachometer, QA1 adjustable tie rods, lower A-arms, and shocks,
beefy front stabilizer bar, and 215/70R14 B.F.G. Radial T/A's
wrapped around the Magnum 500 wheels. Now, here's the fun part. Our
research indicates that this is 1969 GM Rallye Green paint and it's
probably correct. Special Paint codes (99 and Y39) are present as
well as the unusual Y14 Sold Car code. Mopar forums suggest that
Rallye Green was indeed available with these unusual codes. If
you'd like to run the roads in this emerald gem, call the team that
can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a
full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
