We offer for sale this very special and rare MG MGB GT V8 Costello from 1971. The famous English engineer Ken Costello built only 225 MGB GT versions with V8 on behalf of British Leyland (MG) in the period 1970-1974. Costello's model was so well received that MG later started building its own V8 models. However, enthusiasts swear by the Costello version and also call it the “original” V8. A model with a special history and very popular among collectors. There are reportedly only about 60 Costellos on the road at the moment.
The MGB GT V8 Costello that we offer for sale here comes from an enthusiast who has owned the classic for no less than 20 years. It is powered by the 3.5 liter V8 engine linked to a 4-speed gearbox with overdrive. The car's engine smokes and consumes oil. This unique car is sold without warranty.
The MGB GT V8 Costello that we offer for sale here has a beautiful red paint that has been repainted in the past. The artificial leather interior of the Costello is in neat condition with minor signs of wear. The MGB GT is equipped with a Moto-Lita sports steering wheel that completely matches this 1970s British Classic.
