Intro
This is a three owner 1988 BMW 325ix in Alpine White with Cardinal Red leather interior. It has the 2.5L M20 6-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and shows 167,342 miles. It was originally registered in Alaska in 1990 (original bill of sale in photos). The seller purchased it in October 2001 and added 87k miles. It has the M-Technic Trim package and AWD. Less than 3000 325ix cars were sold in the US market during the 88-91 model years. The Carfax shows one incident reported in 1995. It has clear title and is in Idaho.
Exterior
The exterior is Alpine White with electric sunroof, rear deck spoiler, flared wheel arches and original 15” basket weave wheels. On the car are the 16" OZ wheels wrapped in 205/50 R16 Michelin Premier A/S tires with approximately 4500 miles. In April 2022, 20 years of paint chips and road rash were refreshed by Washington Auto Collision in Spokane Valley WA. The seller installed a strut tower brace, and a fresh air intake.
Interior
The interior is upholstered in Cardinal Red leather with heated front sport seats and M-Tech I Steering wheel. It has the trip computer, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and power mirrors.
Mechanicals
The 325ix has the 2.5L M20B25 inline 6-cylinder engine factory rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In June 2021 the mechanicals were refreshed with a new timing belt, water pump, oil and filter, and all fluids replaced in brake lines, front and rear differentials, transmission, and transfer case.
Summary
This is an extremely well-maintained car owned by a BMW CCA member and enthusiast. The sale includes a car cover, hood & side mirror bras, tool kit, BMW First Aid Kit, and Tech Manuals. Also included are the 15" Sport Edition wheels with Michelin X-Ice snow tires and the original basket weave wheels, complete with hub covers, no tires mounted.
