Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this 1965
Plymouth Barracuda! Often overlooked and regularly forgotten, the
first gen Barracuda beat the Mustang to the market by nearly two
weeks. As the first "pony" car, it was based of the Plymouth
Valiant and intended to be a affordable sporty car for the booming
youth market. This red 1964 Barracuda is a cool example of the
breed and packs an unexpected punch under the hood. With this
Barracuda the star of the show is the 360ci V8 under the hood. It
has a crazy custom header set up, reminiscent of 1960s Super Stock
cars. Behind that engine is a four-speed manual transmission. The
1964 Barracuda never cam with an engine this big. Maybe because the
big V8 yanks this car around with ease. In case the exhaust noise
doesn't turn heads, the bright red rust-free body is guaranteed to
get attention. The interior is finished in red vinyl and the front
and rear buckets look awesome. The car rides on red steelies with
dog dish hub caps - a great look for an old school street-fighter.
It's hard to find clean solid early Barracudas these days. Come
snath this one up before it's gone! This 1965 Plymouth Barracuda is
