Only 250 miles on a nut and bolt restoration that looks like
jewelry with an LS swap! Professionally done at a shop that
specializes in high quality truck builds, their trucks have sold
for 200k at Barrett Jackson. This ain't your grandpa's 1970 Chevy
pickup! This short bed now has a remanufactured crate 5.3 liter LS
engine and a modern overdrive trans swapped in. It has received an
extremely detailed body off frame restoration using all new parts!
It's essentially a show truck but still very street friendly with a
tasteful 3 inch suspension lift. It's absolutely top quality in all
regards. Our mechanic that inspected it says it's the best vehicle
we have had!
EXTERIOR: This truck has top of the line paint and body work and is
finished with show quality! Looking down the side of the body It is
undoubtedly 100% laser straight without a ripple or imperfection in
sight. The red velvet color metallic paint has been expertly
applied with extreme attention to detail. It was then sanded and
polished to a mirror like finish. It is so reflective I could
literally read the small print of our contract in it. All the body
panels are properly aligned, and the gaps are consistent
throughout. Aside from the killer paint and body work absolutely
everything on the exterior of this truck is brand new. All the
glass, trim pieces, emblems, mirrors, door handles, headlights,
taillights, bumpers, front grill, etc. are all brand new and shine
like jewelry. It has received a sweet 3" lift and I think it sits
absolutely perfect. It has brand new and very beefy size 33x12.5R15
BF Goodrich all terrain tires that are mounted to aftermarket
chrome Pro Comp wheels. The front has manual locking hubs.
INTERIOR: This interior is totally custom and totally cool! Let's
start with the Android based tablet that controls your Bluetooth
radio, Bluetooth telephone, Google maps and many other onboard
functions. It is mounted front and center in place of the original
radio. Just below that is an Old Air Products air conditioning
controller. It is brand new and works great. The entire dash has
been painted just as slick as the body. The gauge bezel as well as
the brushed black Dakota Digital gauges are all brand new and look
really sharp. The glove box liner has been replaced. The tilt
steering column and custom steering wheel are brand new as well as
the headliner, sun visors, and rearview mirror. It has a working
dome light. The upper and lower portions of the doors are freshly
painted body color. The door panels themselves have been replaced
and are embossed. They also have brand new handles as well. It has
a custom black TMI split bench seat that looks super slick and
lines up perfectly with the bottom of the rear window. Modern
3-point seat belts were also added. Behind the seat are two
carpeted truck boxes with 6x9 speakers. The carpeting has been
replaced and looks fantastic. The kick panels are also new and
molded with 5.5" speakers mounted. And last but not least sitting
pretty right in the center of the cab is a brand new four-wheel
drive selector. This interior is absolutely awesome!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood of the truck is an absolute
thing of beauty! It's original power plant has now been swapped
with a remanufactured crate L33 5.3 liter LS V8 generating 310
horsepower. It has only been driven about 250 miles since
completion. It has fuel injection, headers, and a cold air intake.
Additionally, an Old Air Products air conditioning system has been
added along with a serpentine drive system. New power brake system,
new power steering including the steering column and gearbox. The
radiator has been upgraded with a new large aluminum unit that has
dual electronic fans. All the hoses and wires are brand new. It has
a billet aluminum dipstick. The underside of the hood has been
neatly painted satin black and is very smooth. New hinges and
springs have been added. The fender wells and firewall have been
painted with the same coating as the truck bed liner.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The entire short bed including the backside of
the tailgate has received a fresh and durable spray on bed liner
that has been applied with great detail and is very consistent. It
is spotless and looks like it was applied yesterday. The tailgate
itself has all new hinges and hardware that work fantastic. Also,
the fuel filler cap has been relocated to inside the bed on the
driver side rear and it has a chrome custom pop out cap.
UNDERSIDE: The entire underbody of this truck is completely
restored and new! It looks so clean you can literally eat off of
it! The steering gearbox, links, bushings, and hardware have all
been replaced and are absolutely new. Skyjacker steering
stabilizers have been added as well. This truck has a very
practical 3" lift all the way around. Every single suspension
component has been replaced or upgraded. The front and rear leaf
springs and shocks are all brand new. It has disc brakes at all
four corners with all fresh parts. The emergency brake is hooked
up. A fresh pair of headers connects to a new full dual exhaust
system with mufflers and polished stainless tailpipes that exit
behind the rear tires. A new fuel tank has been added under the bed
along with all new lines and a new fuel pump. It has a custom
pop-up style filler cap inside the bed on the driver side rear.
Looking up at the remanufactured 5.3 liter LS engine, it is
completely spotless and clean. Same thing goes for the paired 4L60E
overdrive automatic transmission. It is essentially like new with
new lines as well. It has a new 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gearing
inside and a slick looking aftermarket cover. That transfers the
power through a brand new set of drive shafts and brand new
transfer case that functions the four-wheel drive. The frame and
floors of the truck are absolutely solid, slick and rust-free with
a fresh new look to them being painted neatly with black paint.
SERVICE: Our team up professional mechanics has completed a
thorough inspection of this truck and repaired or replaced the
following items: lubed and adjusted the door latch, repaired the
running light ground, adjusted the steering gearbox, and wired the
courtesy light switch.
This is an absolutely sweet restomod truck that has show quality
finishes! The suspension and steering upgrades make it feel like
you own the road when driving down the street. Pair that with the
reliability of a new crate LS motor and you literally have it all!
