Vehicle Description
1936 Morgan 3-Wheeler Replica Introducing this 1936 Morgan
3-Wheeler Replica that is finished in a two-tone color scheme of
burgundy and black gracefully complemented with black interior.
This vehicle is the second of only three hand-built replicas
created by a skilled builder D. Ray McArthur from Hillsborough,
North Carolina, making it a rare find. This tribute vehicle is
inspired by the classic Morgan four-cylinder powered Three-Wheeler
Type F2 and F Super models introduced in 1936. What sets this
vehicle apart is its modern twist, featuring a drivetrain sourced
from a 1989 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. The 1540cc flat six-cylinder
engine paired with a 5-speed transmission and electric reverse
provides a powerful and smooth driving experience. The engine is
neatly housed under the bonnet, alongside an aluminum radiator and
custom-fabricated mounts for all accessories. The front end of this
masterpiece is assembled using Triumph Spitfire components, while
the wheels are sourced from a 1935 Ford and a 1932 Ford grill has
been fabricated to fit. The attention to detail is evident
throughout, with aircraft-style push pins securing the panels and
precise riveting adding to the authenticity of the design. The car
boasts a unique registration displayed in a re-purposed soup can,
adding a touch of uniqueness to its overall charm. The exterior of
this vehicle has been painted in a scheme reminiscent of the F2
series, utilizing single-stage paint for a classic look. Inside,
the seats are covered in rich suede, complementing the modern Auto
Meter gauges and custom linkage and shifter created for the
transmission. Household items have been ingeniously repurposed for
interior features, such as a coffee scoop housing the turn signals,
a house doorbell serving as the horn, and a wristwatch mounted in
the dash for added character. Note this example is titled as a 1989
Honda Motorcycle. This vehicle is not just a mode of transportation
but a true piece of art, showcasing the craftsmanship and
creativity of its builder. Do not miss the opportunity to own this
hand-built reproduction of a Morgan F-Type 2 that is mechanically
sound.
