The title is clean and my family has been the owner of the car since new.
The red paint on the body of the car is all original. The top, black paint on the top portion was repainted about 20 years ago.
The mileage is 103014 and all actual miles. The car has been garaged in a temperature controlled storage facility for the past 25 years. It gets driven a few times a year in parades and simple cruising around town.
Ownership History:
My father purchased the car brand new and has been in my family all my life, 58 years. My father purchased the car brand new. My family owned a gas station and auto service/repair service / towing business for 40 years. My father and uncle were professional mechanics. We also rebuilt classic muscle cars and occasional Ford Model T's. We religiously provided regular maintenance, oil changes, wash/waxed the car. The average cadence of oil changes was every 2k - 3k miles we changed the oil. It was my job as a young kid to do all the washing/waxing. The car was always garaged in a climate controlled environment and not driven in the winter months. The car was used for general travel, family trips in the earlier years and at the last 25 years, parades and pleasure cruises to keep the engine in use. We lived in the Black Hills, SD, just outside of Rapid City, SD. The car still remains in the same area and is stored by my family. The car gets taken out for cruising on good weather days to keep the engine in use, thus the low mileage, but a few hundred miles each year since the rebuild. It's a fantastic, smooth ride, cruising car.
All services on the car were performed in our family service station and mostly by my father and my uncle, who were professional mechanics. I don't have many service records, but trying to find as much as I can in a family storage facility. The only significant service was the engine rebuild at 100K miles, approximately 20 years ago, and the black top was repainted approximately 20-22 years ago. We purposely didn't repaint the red to keep original as much as possible.
The car is all original except for the 4 new tires, the engine rebuild as mentioned and the top portion of the car that was repainted a fresh coat, the same color black.
Unique features to mention:
The car came with A/C and power steering. The chrome around the car is in excellent condition as well as the interior liner and all the seats. The driver's seat has one cut in it, but otherwise, all seats are in great shape.
The owners manual is in the glovebox. There are some original paperwork documents in the glovebox as well, but I need to confirm what they specifically are.
